Mr. Armstrong,

While I have developed a couple of chronic diseases over my years, I have also been part of a state-wide organization which promotes education, improved nutrition, increased activity and all the things that can help mitigate disease.

Another off-shoot of the state coalition was an opportunity to become a certified facilitator in the Stanford University “Chronic Disease Self-Management Education[CDSME] Workshop.” The workshops — developed in 1991 — are provided in informal, local-community settings. The workshops also have a significant, international reach. The workshops are presented by non-medical people, by and for those who deal with chronic disease. Workshops are also geared for caregivers. There is no medical jargon. Please review its website at: https://www.ncoa.org/healthy-aging/chronic-disease/chronic-disease-self-management-programs/

Likewise, be well.
